Dave's camping spot  while working with a Duke of Edinburgh group at Rothiemurchus

Not a bad spot to camp for the night! Dave has been working with a Duke of Edinburgh group this weekend, assessing them on their expedition. The forest at Rothiemurchus is one of the last remaining areas of the old Caledonian Pine forest. This type of habitat once covered large parts of Scotland and is home to some of our rarest wildlife. Close to Aviemore, you could be walking or cycling amongst these ancient trees in only a 20 minute drive from The Robin's Nest.
