A great spot for a walk in Grantown itself is the Viewpoint walk. We had a lovely afternoon on this walk today and were delighted to see a red squirrel in the trees just before we got to the cutting on the old railway line. The walk takes an 1-2 hours depending on how much you stop to take in the scenery. It starts just under the old bridge which is about 200m up the road beyond the caravan park in Grantown. There are maps in The Robin's Nest that you can use, and also details of the walk in the walking guides on the bookshelves.
